| Fr. Phillip Chavez is a priest of the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity, the same congregation of Fr. John Corapi. The Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity is a community of disciples of Jesus and Mary composed of all vocations: priests, deacons, brothers, sisters, and single and married laity. The Society was founded in 1958 and has been approved by Rome as a Society of Apostolic Life. The purpose of the Society is to give glory and honor to the Most Holy Trinity by bringing as many people as possible into the Covenant Communion of the Most Holy Trinity through their Encounter with the Living Jesus Christ.
While Fr. Chavez has engaged in parish work in the U.S., Canada, and Italy since his ordination in 1993, he has been involved in pro-life work and has diligently applied himself to concerns of marriage and family. Now, embarking in men’s outreach, he presents a forum to restore the hearts of men and strengthen their spirit to build stronger families and a more vital society.
Even if faithful in their Christian walk, many men struggle with their identity and need to experience a summons to surmount their fears and move in a direction that accords strength and purpose. Fr. Chavez endeavors to assist men toward an understanding of their masculine identity, and labors to aid them to pursue their masculine journey, as vigorous Christian men.
Fr. Chavez maintains that each man needs to be solidly grounded in his supernatural summons to share in the three-fold office of Christ as Priest, Prophet, and King, in order to fully realize his Christian calling and build up the Kingdom of God. Secondly, he strives to forge an understanding of a man’s God-given natural role as Leader, Protector, and Provider for those in his care and periphery.
In accomplishing these ends, Fr. Chavez necessarily treats many areas of masculine character development, as well as addresses the far-reaching effects of internal conflicts, lack of male mentoring, emasculating formative experiences, and cultural influences that beset them. He also emphasizes the need for men to face their journey of sonship—specifically in the model and path of Jesus Christ and His Heavenly Father.
Fr. Chavez has spoken throughout the US on these topics, while networking with men’s groups in various states. Also, he is currently collaborating with the Knights of Columbus, offering workshops for their members on the vision and the spirit of their founder, Fr. Michael McGivney. St. Joseph’s Communications has published a number of his recordings.
Holding graduate degrees in Theology, Philosophy, and Marriage & Family Studies, Fr. Chavez has culminated his studies with a doctorate in Moral Theology from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
Kenneth Henderson is the Founder and President of True Knights International Apostolate, Inc., a ministry committed to helping men seek heroic honor, virtue and purity in an impure world.
Kenneth speaks from experience. He is a husband and father of three young children. He has been blessed with his marriage to his wife, Michelle for 18 years. However, Ken spent most of his life and 13 years of his marriage, lost, self-centered, addicted to pornography, and an inept husband. He knew his life was missing something and he wanted to know the meaning for his life, a meaning he thought he could find all by himself. Then he met God! In one miraculous event, Ken's whole life was transformed. Jesus Christ took a pathetic soul, in response to a desperate cry, and showed Ken what it meant to be a true husband, father and son. In a journey that would ultimately lead him to the Catholic Church, Ken would come to know that all things are possible with Christ and slavery to the sins of the flesh were not meant to be the destiny of man.
In November of 2004, Kenneth Henderson founded the "True Knights" apostolate, dedicated to proclaiming the splendor of truth. The mission of True Knights is to call all men to be the best husbands, fathers and sons that they can possibly be in the eyes of God, to help men seek heroic honor, virtue and integrity in an impure world, to be "True Knights" for the kingdom of God and their families. Kenneth has made a commitment to proclaim the splendor of God's Truth for human sexuality to combat the lies of a sexually immoral and pornographic culture. Since Ken founded True Knights he has been speaking at conferences and retreats around the country and has appeared on EWTN's "Life on the Rock," "The Journey Home," and is a regular guest on EWTN's morning radio show "Catholic Connection with Teresa Tomeo."
Kenneth Henderson and True Knights have received a full endorsement and blessing from Bishop Edward Slattery of the Diocese of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Kenneth's conversion story is available in the book from Ascension Press, "Amazing Grace for Married Couples." Ken has also co-edited a book with Catholic Evangelist Jesse Romero (last year’s conference keynote speaker) titled "True Knights Combat Training: Daily Prayers for Purity." The book is filled with helpful prayers and information concerning the nature of sin, sacramentals, and spiritual warfare. Ken is currently working on his latest book "Courageous in Battle, Pure in Heart." |
